The new THIEL CS3.7 has been named as an International Consumer
Electronics Show Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for 2007. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade press to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products. The CS3.7's award is THIEL’s 22nd CES Design and Engineering honor.
The new CS3.7 is a 3-way, floor standing speaker that utilizes all newly developed drivers. A very high output 1-inch tweeter is coincidently mounted in the center of a 5-inch midrange that incorporates a new ribbed diaphragm geometry. "The new midrange driver diaphragm technology allows unprecedented purity and sweetness of midrange reproduction," says designer, Jim Thiel. "The entire sonic spectrum is completely uncolored by any resonances, ringing, or energy storage from either the midrange or tweeter diaphragms."
